Variety - The Children’s Charity of Greater Kansas City
Dedicated to improving the lives and mobility of physically and mentally challenged children.

December 2011

This holiday season make a difference that touches your heart as well as the hearts of families in need in the Kansas City area. Your thoughtful donation to Variety children will provide possibilities for kids with disabilities.

While no one is immune to the residual effects of a downward economy, our Variety families feel that stress more than most, as they are faced with the everyday challenge of not just putting food on the table, but also providing vital medical equipment such as wheelchairs, communication devices, van lifts and more for their children.

Every dollar donated to Variety the Children's Charity of Greater Kansas City stays in Kansas City, helping local children with physical and mental disabilities gain independence, mobility and self-confidence.

Please consider donating to Variety today. No gift is too small to help make a child's dream come true.

  •  $10 Helmet: to keep children safe on their bikes.
  • $50 Refurbished Gently Used Bike: to give to kids who are without.
  • $700 Adaptive Car Seat: to ensure a safe and comfortable travel experience for a child with special needs.
  • $1,500 Adaptive Stroller: for a child with autism or to aid parents who are unable to get a wheelchair in their car.
  • $2,500 Therapeutic Bike for a Child: who may have been told he or she would never ride a bicycle, but yearns to hit the open road with able-bodied friends or siblings. Each therapeutic bike provided by Variety is custom-designed and fitted for the child according to his or her special needs.

Please think about helping Variety kids by hosting an event or fundraiser through your company, business, or neighborhood.
