On Tuesday, December 6, 2005, at 9:30am the AMC Parkway 14 Theatre was the place to be if you were one of Variety's kids up to 6 years of age. AMC Theatres and Variety - Tent 8 were hosts to 298 children and staff from 8 agencies at the Kid's Holiday Movie Party with a private screening of "Chicken Little." Each attendee received a free soft drink and popcorn to enjoy during the movie. Upon exiting the auditorium the children were treated to a visit with Santa Claus and then were given a large gift bag filled to the brim with toys, books, candy and misc. movie goodies donated by Variety, AMC and contributing film companies. On hand to help were the Parkway 14 personnel and Santa's helpers Variety Board members Jennifer Wenzl, Treasurer Jim Schutz, Linda Norfleet, President Greg Hogue and AMC Corporate personnel Andra Kolega and Melanie Bell. Variety Exec. Dir. Nadine Mummaw also lent a hand at the party.
