Variety - is an international, volunteer-driven organization with 53 active chapters worldwide committed to bettering the quality of life for special needs children.

Funds raised by Variety The Children's Charity of Greater Kansas City - Tent #8 benefit children right here in Kansas City. Annual grants are awarded to select children's agencies while the Variety Children's Trust responds to individual requests from families of children needing special assistance. Help has included scholarships, wheelchairs, medical procedures and more.

Bulletin for Party Goers! For the biggest Oscar Night®celebration in town, plan to attend OSCAR NIGHT®AMERICA at AMC’s Midland Theatre. Now a tradition in Kansas City, Variety Tent 8 sets the stage on March 23, 2003, for a glamorous evening of delectable food and beverages, special events, celebrity hosts, and the entire spectacular on the giant Midland Theatre screen.

Who’s going to receive the coveted awards? What picture will top the list – your favorite or mine? And what fashion designers’ creations will adorn Hollywood’s curvaceous stars? The guessing game begins when you enter the historic Midland Theatre and doesn’t end ‘til the final Oscar®is won.
