THE HY-VEE GOLF SCRAMBLE

On the 5^th day of August, 2002, the weather was hot and the sky was clear. Declared a perfect day for golf, genial host Hy-Vee welcomed guests to the Lakewood Country Club for its annual golf outing.

As usual, a competitive spirit ruled the day. However, when the final putt was played and the last golfer walked in, competition was set aside in the wake of a celebratory feast.

Special guests included International Variety President, Jody Reynolds and her son, Brooks. According to the participants, long ball hitters and duffers alike, being out there on the course was great fun. But, even better was counting the proceeds for the kids. A big "thank you" to Hy-Vee and the entire field of players for adding $43,588 dollars to the coffers for the kids.
