Variety - is an international, volunteer-driven organization with 53 active chapters worldwide committed to bettering the quality of life for special needs children.

Funds raised by Variety The Children's Charity of Greater Kansas City - Tent #8 benefit children right here in Kansas City. Annual grants are awarded to select children's agencies while the Variety Children's Trust responds to individual requests from families of children needing special assistance. Help has included scholarships, wheelchairs, medical procedures and more.

FOR OUR BACKPACKERS

Variety threw a summer party with the AMC Ward Parkway Theatre once again the site. Area agencies that provide services and care for school age children rounded up the kids for their special movie treat.

A movie without a snack pack? "Never," said the folks at AMC. So, while the temperature was climbing outside, the kids when interviewed had this to say about their day at the movies. "Cool, real cool." Love those Variety Kids.
